We
are constantly looking for a better way of presenting music, photos
and video on this site...
• Depending on your computer, you might need to Press Stop on
the currently playing track before
pressing Play on the next
track, in order to avoid both tracks, or more, playing all the same
time...
Example: if you don't want to
hear the entire track, and you want to Skip to another one, just Press Stop
on the track that is playing, and then Press Play on the next track that
you want to hear.
• Depending on the Speed of your Internet Connection ( DialUp, Cable,
DSL etc. ), there may be a few seconds delay before each track starts playing,
for the first time.
• At some sites, when you click on a link to play a song, the window
switches to another window that looks like this
This is a QuickTime "progress bar". The "ball" moves as the music
plays. You can Stop, Start, Rewind music by moving the "ball", and
when the music is done playing you need to Click on the Back Button
to return to the Previous Page/Window.
If you'd like, you can stay in that Previous Page/Window,
and listen to a song at the same time. In order to do that, Control-Click (on
a Mac), or Right-Click( on Windows) on the Link that to a song, then select "Open
Link in New Window". This way
the linked web page of that song will open in a Separate Browser Window, and
you can hear it without losing the Current Window/Page.
Just keep this in mind: not all browsers, web sites, operating
systems "play nice" with each other... This is why, on this page,
I thought I'd try to pass on a few tips to the less experienced
among us...
• Holding Option (Mac) or Control (Windows)
Key while Clicking on Download, copies
a track onto your hard drive, where you can listen to it later, when
not connected to Internet.
• Feel free to download all these music samples, and spread the word...
• We recommend iTunes for
listening to music on your computer, and, of course, you can take your music
with you anytime by transferring it to your iPod,
iPhone, iPad...
• A free Download of iTunes Software is
available here...
The General "Rule" is -- If you
think that you might want to hear Audio Samples again -- Download
them!!!
All
Audio Samples Files on this page, and the rest of this site,
are in MP3 format. To hear them, Click on the Speaker Icon
like this and
Audio will start playing in a New Window or Tab, depending
on how your web browser Preferences are configured. After
you are finished listening to that Audio File, simply close
that Window or Tab, and you'll be back on this webpage.
You can easily Download these
Audio Files to your computer. Then you can hear them even if you
don't have Internet Connection. Better yet, if you Import them
into your iTunes, you won't have to deal with Closing Windows-Tabs
in the Browser. And of course, once these Audio Files are in your
iTunes, you can easily transfer them to your iPods,
or iPhones, and enjoy and share them wherever
your are, online, of line, in the car, on the plane! Also, if you
have these files in your iTunes, and you, or and your friends don't
own iPod, iPhone, iPad yet,
you could burn these mp3's on a CD...
The Other Benefits of Downloading
Audio Samples are:
- If you Download these files, you'd be helping to lower the
Fees for Hosting this website.
- Your family and neighbors (Cable) Connection Speed will be
less effected, because Downloading is faster than Streaming Audio!!!
Although this is much less of an issue these days...
- If you are on iPhone, or any other Smart Phone, and you DO
NOT have Unlimited Data Plan, you can Download the Audio Samples
on your computer, then sync it to your iPod,
iPhone, iPad etc...
Of course, if you are on a WiFi Connection on those devices,
you will not be charged by your Cell Phone Company!
Eventually, all this stuff will
not matter, as the Speeds go Up, and the Prices go Down, while
Online Access Availability anywhere becomes more of a norm! Until
then, Downloading might be useful?!
These Audio files are clean, no
viruses, since they came from Arkady's Mac = !!!
TO DOWNLOAD these MP3's,
Hold Down Option (Mac),
or Control (Windows) Key & Click
on the Speaker Icon like this and
the file will be Saved to your Hard Drive, wherever you usually
Save your Downloads...
