BCC AUTOREPLY EMAIL SIGNATURE

Hope you or and your friends can get into BCC habit soon!!! Feel free to let me know what you thought of this...

This SAMPLE AUTOREPLY below assumes that your have Selected the Entrire Body of the Email Message that you are replying to, unless you have configured your email program to Select All or Quote Sender's Text Entirely when Replying by Default or Automatically, and start typing above that Quoted Text...

Personally, I believe that it is much easier to have a "conversation" when the All Sender's Text is Quoted... That way one can scroll down and see what was Sender wrote, and when they get my reply, the can see what exactly I am replying to as opposed to having to look for the original message that they have sent to me, if they haven't deleted it:)...

You can also insert parts of your email reply in between the Sender's Text, so that more conversation-like, but be careful, particularly when you or the sender have used HTML, a.k.a Rich Text format for their email... It is often the case that some folks don't use their HTML mail properly and vs. and then it's hard to tell who wrote what:)! I rarely use HTML, a.k.a Rich Text format for their email for Sending or even Replying to the emails that were sent to me  in HTML format. I use PLAIN TEXT FORMAT, cause I don't care about Font Colors, Bald etc. Font Styles etc.

But, no matter what, press Return Key before and after your inserted reply text paragraphs. That way, your reply text is more clearly separated from the Sender's test, and it's EASIER TO SEE WHO WROTE WHAT:)! Yes, after a while the emails can get LONG, when you Quote All Sender's text, who quote your text etc. but, it's s still easier to do it that way, rarther to search for  WHO WROTE WHAT:)! in separate, individual emails... And, of course, you can trim, delete some parts of your oldest quoted text (at the bottom of the email)... My personal preference is to keep the newest text always at the top of the email, thus minimizing the need to Scroll Down all the way to the bottom to see the  reply...

Also, keep in mind that when Sender's HTML Text gets Quoted in your Reply, the attached files (photos, mp3's, PDF) etc. might be "quoted-attached" with your Reply... So, unless it is really important, you can and should delete those originally attched files before you send your reply... But, if you Replying to Sender AND other(s) in the same email, you can keep those originally attched files, because the other recepient did not receive those files... I.e. USE COMMON SENSE, and hopefully your recepients will do the same:)...

Hey, these simple Good Email Habits can make our lives easier! But, back to BCC:) ....

----------- SAMPLE AUTOREPLY ---------------

DEAR NAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NICE to hear from you... ALTHOUGH..., it would have been MUCH BETTER if you used BCC instead of TO...

Do you see all these addresses below, in the quoted text of your email?

Now anyone of those people can Copy any of those addresses, my included, into their Email Address Book!!! And, if they forward your email as is, that's even more people, and son on!!!! And THAT's how we all end up with more SPAM etc.!!!

HERE IS A BETTER WAY!!!

I usually use BCC, which hides all Recipients' Email Addresses, thus protecting those people's PRIVACY!!!

You either don't know about the BCC, or may have forgotten about it, or made a mistake, because you sent this email in a hurry, or while tired?! I.e., I doubt that you really intend to share all these email addresses with the world:):):)!!!!

Oh well, it's too late now, the possible damage has been done, but then, I could always use more friends in my Address Book, cause any friend of yours probably could be a friend of mine too, right?!:):):):)..., but JOKES ASIDE...

Please see this webpage for more information on this topic

or simply put --

1. DELETE ALL ADDRESSES from previous forwarded emails, which "cuts the chain of involuntary publicity for those who didn't ask for that publicity"

2. HIDE ALL ADDRESSES of those whom you are sending your email to (i.e. Recipients).

How do you do that?

The easiest way to HIDE the RECEPIENTS is to make yourself the "TO" RECEPIENT, and put ALL OTHER RECEPIENTS into "BCC " ( "Blind Carbon Copy" Field)

AOL does not have a dedicated BCC field!!!!!!!!!!!

To send mail via BCC, place addresses and screen names in the CC field surrounded by parentheses. For example: (billyg@msn.com, SteveCase, lunchmeat@spam.net)

OR: open Address Book, click on a Name, then click on BCC icon/button. That will put the NAME in parentheses, like this (NAME)...

If you want to send email to a several recipients, open Address Book, click on each Name, then click on BCC icon/button. Or click on a Group Name, if you already have Groups in your Address Book, or Hold Control Key (on Windows/PC) and click on each NAME, then on BCC Button/Icon.

If you email to the same GROUP of people, CREATE A GROUP in your ADDRESS BOOK, then click on that Group, then on BCC Button, and the whole Group is going to be put in BCC - HIDDEN, cause each name, or GROUP of names will be in parentheses, like this (NAME), (NAME), (NAME)..., or (GROUP), (GROUP)...

You can also click on AOL's Help, or call Tech Support for AOL, or you can LEAVE AOL for ANY OTHER ISP?!

SEE THE LINK BELOW FOR INFORMATION ON FIGHTING SPAM AND HOAXES:
