I love Macs... Here is why...
When you click on Get a Mac!, you'll see a bunch of really good ads, and links promoting Mac OS, Macs, iPhones, iPods and the rest of all things from Apple Inc. But, I've been using a Mac computer a long before any of this slick pr was around! And I loved it ever since, cause it didn't crash as much as Windows, and I never had to worry about viruses!
Most of my musicians friends used Macs, and some helped me get rolling with it. In general, Mac Users are a very proud and supportive people. They are often creative professionals -- musicians, artists, video and photographers. I have always found them to be more educated, articulate, warmer people then regular Joe public. No, I am not saying that Windows users are stupid! Of course not! I am just telling you about my own personal experience! But, if you need an extra proof, walk into most Cell Phone stores, or other stores where they sell computer, and then walk into any Apple Store, so that you don't have to take my word for it...
If I had Windows Computer, I'd be at the mercy of either some manufacturer's lame text support, or I'd be asking a bunch of strangers for help. But with Mac, it just works, and Apple Care is worth every penny, plus Apple Store - every time I've walked in there, it felt like I was in Disney Land! Fun, smart folks to talk to! They know their stuff, and if not, they will get you the answers right at the store!
Of course, in my early days on the Mac, before OS X, they did crash, and I had to "play detective", but not like Windows users, who even today are often dealing with viruses, re-installs, and other stuff that sucks their time!!! And all our time is precious, like our health! That is why I don't care if 90% or 85% of the world is using Windows, that are perceived as cheaper! But, when you consider all their headaches, and time lost, that "cheaper" factor becomes a JOKE!!!
But let's always remember that I am MUSICIAN FIRST, not some Tech Geek, Apple Fanboy, Anti-Windows Crusader!!! I don't care what Operating Systems other use, as long it works for them!
I love my Mac cause it allows me to be CREATIVE, and I love being around CREATIVITY and CREATIVE PEOPLE have often inspired me, shared their knowledge and time, and I don't mean sales people at Apple Stores, I mean almost every time I've ran into a fellow Mac person! Some might call that snotty, ellitist, bohemian etc. To each their own!
I don't have time for tech support, or personal shopping advice! But you don't need me for that , cause all that is now available for FREE at any Apple Store in person and online @ 1-800-MY-APPLE! And, if you remember this page, please send my love to Apple Stores, particularly if it's Fifth Avenue (24/7/365) or Soho stores in New York City, which is where I live!
